Raw Lemon Gallery presented Über die Unmöglichkeit, den Ursprung zu sehen, the diploma exhibition of Klara Marlene Fischer, marking the completion of her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig (HGB). The exhibition was on view from July 3 to July 18, 2026.

Working with autofictional texts and installations, Fischer’s artistic practice explores the repetition and reconstruction of personal memory. Experiences reappear through processes of externalization, transforming into what she describes as “fragments.” Longing and loss, control and vulnerability become part of a documentary form that continuously revisits questions of gender and identity, devotion and resistance.

Klara Marlene Fischer lives and works in Leipzig. Since 2020, she has studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig (HGB), initially in the Painting Class of Prof. Kerstin Drechsel, before joining the Installation and Space Class led by Prof. Joachim Blank in 2024. In 2025, she was an exchange student in the Sculpture and Space Class in Vienna. Über die Unmöglichkeit, den Ursprung zu sehen concluded her studies as her diploma exhibition.
